Two-Timeing myself

I wish cliches didn't exist. At least, a negative outlook on them didn't exist. I want to be able to get a Carpe Diem tattoo, and not seem sentimental. I want to openly tell people to "live your life", and not get sarcastic looks from the hipster crowd. Since when did "Peace, love, and happiness" become something to scoff at? John Lennon once said, "If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliche that must have been left behind in the sixties, that's his problem. Love and peace are eternal."
Things become cliches because they are overused (I'm assuming). But they are overused because they're so true! It just makes me sad. I mean, I can't claim to not care what people think about me. Therefore, as badly as I want to partake in many a cliche, I will keep them to myself. I see it as an opportunity to use some creativity, and say the same thing in a different way that won't make my hipster friends completely discount me as an intelligent human being.
